Multifunction bridge

A multifunction bridge is a gantry that travels over a wall or floor element and carries several tools, fastening, sawing, milling and marking the element in one pass.

Also known as multifunction bridge, multi-function bridge, CNC bridge, routing bridge, gantry bridge

Where a simple nailing bridge only fastens the boards, a multifunction bridge adds tools such as saws, routers, drills, glue units and markers. It trims boards to the element edge, cuts out openings, mills recesses for services and prints information on the element, all from the design file.

Combining these tasks in one station saves space and handling, but it also makes the bridge a potential bottleneck, so the tool set is matched to the product mix.
