Wall production line
A wall production line is a sequence of linked stations that takes a wall from framing through to a finished panel.
Also known as wall line, wall panel line
A wall production line connects the individual operations of framing, sheathing, nailing, routing, cutting and stacking into one flow, with panels transported automatically from station to station. Instead of moving a panel around a workshop, the line moves it through the process.
The measure of a good line is how well it copes with variety: real factories build panels of many heights, thicknesses and lengths, and the line has to handle those changes without manual re-setting between elements.
