Sloping flat truss
A sloping flat truss is a parallel chord truss set at a slight slope, for low-pitched roofs where water must drain in one direction.
Also known as sloping flat truss, sloping parallel chord truss, low slope truss, tapered flat truss
Both chords run parallel but at an angle, so the roof has a gentle fall while the truss keeps the constant depth of a flat truss. It is used on low-slope roofs of houses, extensions and commercial buildings, and where a sloping ceiling is wanted below.
A tapered flat truss achieves a similar fall with a sloping top chord over a level bottom chord.
