Modified queen post truss

A modified queen post truss adds diagonal webs to the queen post layout, so it spans further than a plain queen post truss.

The two vertical queen posts remain, but extra diagonals run between the posts and the chords, triangulating the open panels. The result sits between a queen post and a fan truss in strength and span.

The exact web layout varies between manufacturers, and the truss design software decides it for each span and load.
