End-of-line stacking
End-of-line stacking is the last step of a production line, where finished elements are collected and stacked in the order they will be loaded and erected.
Also known as stacker, element stacker, end of line, panel stacking, outfeed
Finished walls or trusses leave the line one by one and have to be stacked, secured and moved to storage or straight onto a trailer. The stacking order matters: elements should come off the truck in the sequence they are erected on site.
The step ranges from operator-run stackers and lifting tools to fully automatic stackers. Either way it has to keep up with the line, or finished elements back up into it.
