Roof trusses
Double Howe truss
A double Howe truss extends the Howe pattern with extra verticals and diagonals, for long spans and heavy loads.
Also known as double howe, double howe truss, double howe roof truss
Like the Howe truss it uses verticals together with diagonals that slope towards the centre, but with more panels across the span. That shortens every chord segment and suits long spans, heavy roof loads or trusses that also carry a ceiling or plant.
It is found in agricultural and commercial buildings as well as in wide residential roofs.
