Double fink truss
A double fink truss doubles the W web pattern of a fink truss, adding webs so the truss can span further or carry heavier loads.
Also known as double fink, double W truss, WW truss, double fink roof truss
Where a fink truss has one W of webs, the double fink has two, dividing the top and bottom chords into more, shorter panels. Shorter panels mean less bending in the chords, so the same timber sizes can cover a longer span.
It is typically chosen when a standard fink truss would need deeper chords, for example on wider houses or under heavy roof coverings.
