Randek Prestudy
The Randek Prestudy is a service provided by Randek that aims to identify the most optimal and suitable automation system for each customer. Randek will assign a project leader to oversee the development and configuration process and to define a lead time for the automation system after the project. The prestudy may include elements of utilizing existing automation equipment from the Randek portfolio, as well as designing new machines or systems, clearly defined based on the customer’s request. The cost of the prestudy will be agreed upon before it is initiated.
The prestudy will specify the recommended equipment based on factors such as available production space, capacity requirements, automation level, acceptable staffing, and the customer's existing or future building system. For prestudies that involve the customized development of new systems, the agreement may also include the construction and/or testing of prototypes.
Randek has extensive experience in developing new systems for prefab automation, and some of our existing systems were developed through prestudy agreements—such as certain functions within the AutoEye, ZeroLabor, and AutoWall product ranges.
Randek Prestudy outcomes:
The agreed prestudy does not necessarily need to include all the elements listed below; the scope and cost of the prestudy will be agreed upon and specified in the prestudy contract.
• A detailed layout adapted to fit the available customer production space
• 2D/3D visualization of the automation equipment
• Simulation of the production equipment
• Capacity level of the specified production equipment based on the customer's building system
• Development of new functions/systems based on customer requests
• Building/testing of newly developed functions/systems
• Technical specification of the machines/systems defined in the prestudy
• Delivery time for the specified automation equipment
• Quotation including the investment level of the automation equipment
