Randek UK - Director Gordon Young
Driven by sustainability targets, labour shortages and the requirement for large scalable house manufacturing.

Improved and expanded service to the UK market

Randek UK, a joint venture with Randek AB. Started in partnership 2019 to provide a sales and after care support service to the UK & Ireland timber frame and light gauge steel market.

Gordon has worked in the construction industry for 15 years. The majority of this has been in off site manufacturing and on site in the housing and commercial industry. The combination of this knowledge and experience in automation provides excellent help and support to the customer in understanding their needs and requirements.

The opportunity in UK & Ireland for offsite manufacturing has never been greater due to the change in the way homes are being built using the new modern methods of construction. The UK and Ireland has been dominated by on site brick and block methods of construction in the past but with the new MMC (Modern method of construction) this is changing. The governments are pushing ahead in building more energy efficient homes.

The governments ambition to build 320,000 homes per year has consistently fallen short so the UK has to find better and faster methods of building new homes. This change has seen the market share of off-site manufacturing increase dramatically in the last few years and is set to keep increasing at a significant rate.

Where does Randek fit into this change? Randek’s product range has never been in such demand from a pair of BS20 turning tables for small closed panel manufacturers right through to our ZeroLabor robotic lines.
